jeff noel aka jungle jeff

Good Tuesday morning everyone.  jeff noel.com is sort of the clearing house for the other blogs I write.

Ever discover something that you love to do, but it had hidden, dormant, all your life?

It’s like that with writing.  I love to write.  And when I couple that with my love to challenge people to think, it’s even more powerful.

Some people, when I tell them I write five blogs every day (seriously, every single day), think I’m crazy.

You want to know what else is crazy?  I’ve finally reached a point in my life where I no longer worry about “being crazy”.

There have been a lot of great, crazy people, who have made a positive impact on the world.  It’s a childhood dream for many to be a superhero.  I’d like to build a coalition of like-minded, crazy people to help make the world a little better place before our time is up.

Why?  So our children (my son is eight) might then continue what we started, and we can make Mother Earth sing, Alleluia!

Said all that, just so I could show you a quick You Tube glimpse at another side of me, the Disney side.   Was in St. Louis a week ago and found myself at Union Station to deliver a Customer Service training workshop.

Please feel free to visit www.junglejeff.net, or any of the other blogs.

If you commit to that, I’ll commit to working on my videography skills.

Deal?

Carpe diem, jeff noel, aka jungle jeff 🙂

A Good Google Thing to Do

Google Profile, Got One?

I didn’t have one and my buddy, Chuck, reminded me that having one is a good Google thing to do.

So I did it yesterday.  It turned out pretty decent – click here to see.

Not sure why I waited so long to do it.

Seems like Chuck and I were in the right place, at the right time.

That’s part of my vision for Mid Life Celebration, LLC.  To be in the right place at the right time, for the right person.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to give advice to any of you.  I simply hope that my story, sounds like your story – in a different, but similar sort of way – and that you may take solace or find inspiration, to help make our World a better place.

Life Is Good @ 1 Push Up A Day

Life Is Good if you can do one push up per day.  Do that for a week.  Then, the next week, do two push ups per day.

Continue to add one push up per day, for every week since you started.

Oh wait, I can already read your mind, “This is stupid”.

If I fail at anything, it’s almost always because I don’t stick with it.

Over a decade ago, I vowed to accept the challenge contained in this post.  I thought, “How hard could it be.  Seriously”?

Sticking with it has created a life-changing path for me.  If you have any motivation in you, may I challenge you to read this – Hello World

Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

PS.  I did this for two years – 104 pushups in one day.  Now I do 40, two or three times per week.

Professional Speaker

Professional Speaker.

That’s what I do.  I talk and people listen.

How scary is that?

Pretty scary.   Everyone staring at you, expecting you to be smart and funny.

Because I’m hard-wired for excellence, I’m always looking for ways to become smarter and funnier.

You know, to become a better Professional Speaker.

I’ve taken to writing.  Seriously.

Overachiever?  Maybe.

Living with regret?  Doubtful.

Dude, You’re in Incredible Shape!

Vince said, “Dude, you’re in incredible shape”.

Shirtless, I stopped by the front office after my training run early this morning, sweating profusely from the tropical Florida humidity.  I wanted to check on something my wife was working on for next year.

The office manager and I were talking when Vince made his comment.

Vince knows the manager.  In fact, Vince helps out  at our Sanibel Island Resort and is an absolute bright ray of friendly sunshine, enthusiasm and hospitality.

“One push up a day”, I casually commented back.

“One push up a day”?, Vince relied, surprised.

“Yep”.

Vince knows I’m heading to Helsinki, Finland in three weeks to represent the United States at the Master’s World Championships.   The manager does not, unless Vince tells him.

It’s amazing how we can look at someone and wonder what they do, or don’t do, to lead a healthy life.

Same thing with a person’s attitude, eh?

We can tell, just by a person’s demeanor, whether they have passion or not.  Of course, there are some exceptions to this, but not many.

I hope I can stay passionate about four things:  Mind, Body, Spirit, and Money.

Self-Control, Surrender, Service.  Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
