Did you say something?
Yes. I said something.
Weren’t you paying attention?
Huh?
Exactly.

Ain’t it da truth? This is one of the many reasons I’ve been challenged to do a better job at living out my dreams.
Please don’t get me wrong, most people have a pretty good batting average – we do many of the things we say we’re going to do.
We also, because we’re human, don’t do a lot of the things we say we’re going to do.
The antidote?
Find your higher purpose.
And, be prepared to work harder than you ever have in your life.
Do you have a personal vision statement? A personal mission statement? A personal brand?
I can see the “deer in the headlights” look through the cyber-sphere. “Huh? What are you talking about? Are you nuts?”, I can hear some say.
No seriously. Do you?
If you do, congratulations.
If you don’t, why the hell heck not?
Six days until the new year. New Year! New You?
When? May I ask you that? “When?”
When will you finally get the courage (guts) to face yourself in the mirror and start to become the change you wish to see in the world?
Then we can really get this party started and make the world a better place for younger generations.
You do think that’s a good idea, right? The part about making the world a better place.
Ain’t much in life guaranteed, is there? Death and taxes, to be sure.
Death.
That’s the one.
What a beautiful gift death should be.
Just like what a beautiful gift birth should be.
And the beautiful gift of the part called “life” – in between the two.
And here’s one more thing that’s guaranteed – life will be difficult.
Guaranteed.
And this simple fact presents us with the most glorious opportunity known to humankind.
Carpe diem.
