Humble Servant

Humble Servant.

These two words resonant.

Hard to explain why.

If there were two words, and only two words, that resonated with you, what would they be?

Hoping to someday soon be a humble servant.  Carpe diem,   jeff noel 🙂

Pizza Delivery

Pizza delivery.  What a wonderful convenience for busy people.

Saturday, Our son had a friend over for a playday.  I did the cooking for dinner.  Seriously.

Papa John’s to the rescue.

What makes this casual, and routine, situation special is that the gentleman who came to our door not only brought pizza but also some fuel for my fire.

Yes, it’s Summertime.  Yes, it’s like crazy hot in Central Florida.  No, we didn’t have a fire burning in the fireplace (although we sometimes do during the summer).

Simply put, he commented about the dedication he sees in my running commitment.  He’s been living here for eight years and has seen me running “every day”, for eight years.

We can tell people our big plans, or we can simply do it.  Thank you my friend, for reminding me of the power of our example.

The article is targeted to two groups:

  1. People wanting to become better bloggers
  2. People who appreciate bloggers who challenge them to take some type of action

I’m guessing most of you jeff noel.com readers know I also write four other blogs, every single day.

You may not be able to keep up with them, because, well, I don’t know why.  I spend way more time writing them then the 1-2 minutes it takes to read them.

I just hate to think about dying before I find out how to live.

Thought I’d go easy on ya today.  It is, after all, a day of rest.

The Truth Scares the Hell Out Of People

That’s why we stick our proverbial heads in the sand.

How do I know?

I’m one of you.  Together, we are way more the same than we are different.  Way more.

The hard stuff is the hard stuff.  There’s a Leadership guru that professes the soft stuff is the hard stuff. And I agree 100%, in the context of leading others.

The context here is leading ourselves.  Because we’re the boss of ourselves, we can do what we darn well please.  No one can push us around when it comes to our destiny.

We fulfill it ourselves.

Or not.

The later is the part that ought to scare the hell out of us.  It certainly has for me.

Live Like You Were Dying

Live Like You Were Dying.

This phrase means many things to many people.  Tim McGraw even sings a song about it.

Today, unconventionally, I dedicate this song to me.  Why?  Because I’ve never dedicated a song to myself.  Call it a bucket list.  Call it whatever you want.  It really doesn’t matter what it’s called:

Now here’s something that does matter and it is my sincerest wish for you and for everyone you love.

Live Like You Were Dying!
