The Orlando Magic basketball team was magical last night, in Boston.
They played game seven against the defending NBA Champions, the Boston Celtics, in Boston. A huge disadvantage for the Magic.
I have to admit that I no longer watch professional sports.Â
However, I do love watching the Olympics, as well as championship games in any sport. It’s when it’s all on the line that I get interested.
Anyway, here’s the this morning – Can You Believe It – a followup to last night’s post.
Make it a great Monday, a great week and a great May. Because if you don’t, who will? If not now, when? Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
Defending NBA Champs, the Boston Celtics are currently behind the Orlando Magic by 19 points.Â
When I wake up tomorrow morning, I wonder what the headline will read.
Then again, I may just stay up for a little while longer so I won’t have to wait.
Being from Orlando, and working for Disney World, it’s only natural that I’m a MAGIC fan!
Either the Magic will pull off an upset and advance to the semi finals, or the Celtics will pull off a major comeback and continue their bid to defend their NBA Championship.
Either way, the Celtics need some real Magic. Good night. jeff 🙂
jeff noel – World Class Wednesday?
OK, so I missed posting yesterday. Sorry.
It actually felt good to skip a day.
Trust me though, it wasn’t intentional.
But once I realized it was going to happen, I found that letting go of the expectation, even for just one day, felt healthy.
If you’re new to jeff noel.com blog, here’s the deal. I post five blogs every single day.
Classic over-achiever.
Or said another way, building a foundation, a base.
In running, we call it conditioning. Early season workouts focus on building a great cardiovascular system as well as strength training and flexibility training.
All three combine to position the runner for the racing season, when quantity gives way to quality.
So for now, it’s about quantity. It’s about building a strong base, or foundation.
Ya with me?
Classic over-achiever? Maybe. Maybe not.
Perhaps, I’m just a guy focused on excellence. Remember what I told you Tiger Woods told me?
He simply said, “Out work ’em”, when I asked him for the most important piece of advice for anyone wishing to become world-class.
So, today, will you run with the pack, get left behind, or clearly outdistance your competition?
The choice is yours. Always is. Always will be. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
Thirty-one to fifty?
What the?
Only 31 days until I turn 50. Â The big 5-0!
Woo – hoo! Â Seriously.
While some dread 50, I can’t wait.
Why dread something that is inevitable?
This is a hard thing to do – to not dread the inevitable.
How?
Don’t know exactly. Â The way I figure it, we all have to deal with the inevitable in our own unique and special way.
Our choices are fairly straight-forward. Â Positive or negative. Â Victor or victim. Â Surrender or suffocation.
Look, I’m not an expert at this. Â I just happen to be almost 50. Â What this means is that I’ve seen a lot, but certainly not everything.
So take this content for what it’s worth. Â Simply a personal opinion from a guy who’s seen both heaven and hell.
Carpe diem and best wishes for discernment.  jeff 🙂
