You Don’t Owe Me Anything

But it would be a nice gesture, if you would consider voting for Ben and Brian.

If you want to help two twenty-something adventurers win a trip to Thailand, click here.

If Ben and Brian win, they will blog about their adventures.  Ben is passionate about travel and adventure like few people I’ve seen in my 50 years.

Up front, you will need to register – it’s quick and easy.  Ben & Brian are vying for the Pattaya, Thailand trip.

You can vote once each day, and there is only one week left.  Ben and Brian are currently trailing, but together, we can fix that.  What goes around comes around.  Doing good deeds for random strangers may lead to the favor being returned to you someday.

Finally

Finally.  I’ve gotten to the fifth of five blogs this morning.  Having some challenges revving up the writing engine.

This rarely happens.  I knew it would come.  Just didn’t know when.  It took longer than expected.  Good thing, I suppose.

Big questions though:

  • “How long will it last”?
  • “When will it return”?

No worries however.  Just gonna plow through it and try not to worry about it.  It’s a natural part of the “writer’s cycle” – sort of like the seasons on Earth.  Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

Each season has a purpose.  Each one ends and another begins.  It’s natural. It’s okay. Carpe diem everyone.

How Cold Is It?

Freezing Cold
Freezing Cold

Weather.com says the current Anchorage, Alaska temp is  (4AM) 19 degrees, but the official “feels like” temp is 12 degrees.

Hope your day is full of warmth, no matter the outside temperature.  Carpe diem.

Hearing It 100 Times?

“Hearing something 100 times is not as good as seeing it once”. — Japanese proverb

“It’s not the material things in life that are important”. Most of us have heard this so many times we’ve  lost track, right?

If we know this to be true, that material things aren’t the important thing, why do we work so hard to get so much stuff?  That’s what I want to know.

I’d like to take a risk and ask you readers to leave a comment with your take on this human dilemma.  Happy Halloween.

jeff noel Aggressively Unfancy?

Is jeff noel aggressively unfancy?  Well, one thing for certain, I’m certainly not too funny when I blog.  But I sure do try to be aggressively unfancy.

And the concept of being unfancy is one most of us have never heard of. We have, but not in those exact words.

Aggressively unfancy means, to me, a person who is not focused on looking smart or sexy.  Sort of an ordinary person who deep down inside understands that they are blessed beyond measure simply by being alive.  And that that is more than enough.

Having a roof over your head, food on your plate, someone to love and someone to love you back.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for you MDJ)

Having a car that starts every time, someone in your life who is more important than you, a clean shirt and indoor plumbing – these things make us rich.  And potentially, aggressively unfancy. But certainly not funny.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for everyone)
