It All Comes Down to This

With so much to say, where does a person start?  Well, if you’re a runner, it’s easy, you start at the starting line.  But if you’re not a runner and you’re several decades into your life and your job or career, then what?

Then maybe start here, in Lane 8:

There, I said it. Hope this doesn’t scare anyone off. It is what it is.

Google CEO Needs Coaching

Who needs a coach?  Do you need a coach?  Pretty sure I need a coach. In fact, after listening to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, I’m convinced.

Why?

Listen to Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, talk briefly, but accurately, about why people need a coach, and decide for yourself.

Good luck. Well, actually, luck has nothing to do with it. At least not until you have put in some serious effort. Then luck starts to work in your favor, but not before. Carpe diem.

Thank God It’s Monday

Thank God it’s Monday.

It’s easy to dread Monday’s, isn’t it?  Why is that?  Multitude of reasons probably.

The way to beat the Monday blues?  I ain’t the brightest bulb in the box, however, there is once secret that has proven effective for many people.

Know what it is?

A thankful heart.

What Would You Do?

If you knew you could not fail, what would you do differently?  Know what I’ve learned in 50 years? All these quotes, cliches, sayings, parables, etc. – they only work if you do.

“No rules for success will work if you don’t”.

“Everything takes longer than we think it will, or longer than we want it to”.

“If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough”.

Quote me.  Love me.  Hate me.  It doesn’t matter.  What matters is what you do.  Got it?

For anyone thinking it’s more sophisticated than this, it ain’t.  Carpe diem!

What about 200k?

Yeah, 200,000 is also a big number.  In fact, it’s the number that will make half-a-million possible.

Three is a small number.

What makes this so distracting is that the small number and the huge number are related. And I can’t get that out of my head.

Know how to keep a curious, easily distracted person in suspense (oh look, shiny)?

I’ll tell you tomorrow.  🙂
