Blogging memories day 3, home

Disney Institute speaker Jeff Noel
Seven years after the 1999 Disney Institute phone call inquiry, i had become a bit of a Disney Institute fixture.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

My original blogging idea started in 2007 because i thought Disney Institute (DI) Facilitators could each have a blog and share Disney Institute essence, content, offerings, etc, as we traveled the globe.

Ultimately, this never gained traction at Disney Institute.

So, i redirected my passion and vision…

My thinking was, let me be an early adaptor, get in the “blogging game” so to speak, and be ahead of the curve once blogging became corporately less fearful.

Never saw coming what was about to happen in 2008-2009.

Remember the Great Recession?

So the ripple-effect caused Disney layoffs, including a couple DI colleagues.

Long story short, i committed to creating a ‘Plan B’ in case something so unexpected and severe ever happens again.

This Plan B morphed into me launching an LLC January 1, 2009. And making a commitment to retire in 2014 with 32 years of Disney and Disney Institute experience.

Nearly two years after becoming enamored with blogging’s business marketing potential, i published my first personal (or professional) blog post October 2008.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

How do i marry crazy vision with practical, sustainable, profitable ideas, structure, and processes?

WordPress allows for great idea organization, if you are a writer.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

How do you even blog?

What the heck is a blog?

How does it work?

Am i capable to “blog”?

2005…this was our 2nd pool. The 1st one was made of plastic. Our son is on the left and his friend Robert on the right. We didn’t get an in-ground pool until seven years after this photo – June 1, 2012 we began filling the new, empty, pool with a garden hose.

Should we get sad at the reality of having to leave the water location?

No sadness.

Only gratitude.

Gratitude for your memories, and, for your hopes and plans.

Boat trip, day 2, home

sunset from Florida marina
Perfect day in every way. While Tracy played DJ, we relaxed on the boat’s front deck until 11:00pm. Sunset was at 8:30pm.

What is it that stimulates our mind, body, and spirit when we are next to water? Probably everything.

Does the mind, body, spirit stimulation change when we immerse ourselves in the water? Of course. And magically, we don’t even need to get in the water for the stimulation.

Dear (actual island) Island Time, we love and appreciate you. And thank you for partnering with the water to make the entire setting magical.
