From years ago, in 2014, on a trip with fellow Disney Institute colleagues. Walt said, “Laughter is no enemy to learning.”
What are some of your earliest blogging memories?
Having fun.
Fun in quietly practicing everything we preached at Disney Institute.
Which eventually led to me coining…
“Only preach what you practice.”

An important memory, and an important question from these two questions:
What will you write about?
What will you speak about after you retire?
Yes, here is one more question from the above two:
Q. How will i scale writing and speaking in a simple, practical, fun, and hopefully compelling way?
A. For starters, reveal to the world the secret recipe for balance: the deep, broad, and obvious interconnectedness between mind, body, spirit, work, and home.
Why?
Because most humans, including myself, believe it’s a balance between only two things: work life and home life.
My discovery, after chasing balance for four decades, is balance is built from life’s five big choices.
Tomorrow, i’ll share a blinding flash of the obvious, creative writing framework.

Yesterday from Twitter. Spent 15 years here full-time (hand-picked by Disney Institute) teaching Fortune 500 companies how Disney creates great leaders, engaging cultures, wowed-Guests, loyal fans, and innovative ideas.

Super busy, super ignorant, yet dedicated and committed to succeeding in building a Plan B that would be ready by the time i retired in 2014.
What i didn’t expect was to be super surprised.
What i gained from this heavy lift of ‘working two jobs’ surprised and delighted me.
The ‘extra’ work didn’t turn out to be extra, it turned out to be a personal leadership transformation.
The extra work was, to me, a self-directed case study, a self-directed MBA/Doctorate level education.
Never saw that coming.
A terrific memory about following your heart, pursuing extreme risk, and remarkable success.

Disney Institute Speaker team on stage at Madison Square Garden Theater. We trained all the Super Bowl game-day staff on customer service basics. It was the 2014 NY-NJ Super Bowl 48. Held at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey.
What are some of your earliest blogging memories?
Trying to figure out how to build an Internet presence for a personal business i wasn’t going to use for six more years, after officially retiring from Disney.

Seven years after the 1999 Disney Institute phone call inquiry, i had become a bit of a Disney Institute fixture.
What are some of your earliest blogging memories?
My original blogging idea started in 2007 because i thought Disney Institute (DI) Facilitators could each have a blog and share Disney Institute essence, content, offerings, etc, as we traveled the globe.
Ultimately, this never gained traction at Disney Institute.
So, i redirected my passion and vision…
My thinking was, let me be an early adaptor, get in the “blogging game” so to speak, and be ahead of the curve once blogging became corporately less fearful.
Never saw coming what was about to happen in 2008-2009.
So the ripple-effect caused Disney layoffs, including a couple DI colleagues.
Long story short, i committed to creating a ‘Plan B’ in case something so unexpected and severe ever happens again.
This Plan B morphed into me launching an LLC January 1, 2009. And making a commitment to retire in 2014 with 32 years of Disney and Disney Institute experience.
Nearly two years after becoming enamored with blogging’s business marketing potential, i published my first personal (or professional) blog post October 2008.
