Day 7 St Mary, Triple Divide, home

Disney acquired the ability to convert a commercial Kissimmee campground into a makeshift college “dormitory”. There were 50 units. Small trailers each equipped with four bedrooms, two baths and one small, central kitchen. i arrived January 24, 1982. The next day at Disney University, my Walt Disney World career began.

The only limitations i have are those i impose upon myself.

This personal mantra was envisioned in 1980 during my North Carolina Outward bound experience while on a college Spring Break.

That’s when i unknowing discovered what we today call growth mindset.

Was ahead of my time without ever knowing.

Note: Being present allows (internalized, and forgotten) influential memories to randomly catch my attention.

.blogging .differently is just getting started, and it’s been a fun start.

As Walt always reminds us, “Keep moving forward.”

Someday feels creepy to me now.

No trust in someday.

Yes, and…

Wisdom teaches me that someday starts thinking about arriving after you start doing the daily, constant, relentless reps to learn, grow, improve, and teach. And not only starting, but mastering the daily, relentless part.

Someday, so glad you’ve shown up after seeing i’ve been serious all along.

Mountains
Would love to see a reasonably consumable time-lapse video of Earth’s 3.5 billion year history from this vantage point.

Glacier, more that anyplace i’ve visited, humbles my beliefs and inspires my childlike creativity to wonder about humanity’s origin and journey.

Starting at midnight, it took nearly three hours to secure one month’s accommodations for next Summer.

As much experience as i have and rely on, it’s becoming more challenging to confidently organize, and secure, next year’s accommodations.

The past two Summers hinted that there’s a change. What worked and what i counted on working no longer works.

Adapting to change is in my wheelhouse though.

i am grateful for everything, including adversity.

Gazing like i mean it.
5-second video: It’s a tradition.

Sitting in the car for two hours.

Unintentional.

Cold, wind, and especially the low clouds delayed our start.

We can manage the cold and wind.

Hiking in low, thick clouds is like having a laptop but no wifi. What’s the point?

The point is to see it all.

And as my local friend and Chalet Proprietor Kevin instructed me, “Gaze twice as long” when i return.

We have returned.

i am committed to gazing.
