Day To Day Grind

We Are All The Same
We Are All The Same

Day to day stuff. The miscellaneous, but critically important details we need to attend to day in and day out. If we don’t, we get behind, and eventually, we may get buried by our workload.

I know this well. Can’t recall the last time I had nothing to do. Every day, there’s a dull, but heavy pressure to do all the stuff that needs doing. It never ends. It never should end.

Today, in addition to the usual prayer requests, I’d like to add anyone dealing with a particularly heavy, and horrible situation today. There are many of you fitting this description. In particular today, however, I’m responding to an email that came through late last night.

Pray for Peace in her Soul, Joy in her Spirit, and Love in her Heart. And not only for her, but also for her entire Family. Transport to deeper message.

You’ll Start To See A Change

Can You See It? (You Will)
Can You See It? (You Will)

Do you consciously try to improve a little bit every day? Personally? Professionally?

Really not trying to annoy you, but I’ve spent 27 years of my life working for an organization that epitomizes excellence and continuous improvement, and epitomizes being the best – not one of the best, but THE best.

It was only a matter of time before the pace picked up.

That time has arrived.

Thanks to a ticking clock. Thanks to the iPad.

I wish I could tell you that I’ll wait for you, you know, until your ready to start living. But that’s now impossible.

There are 80 million blogs out there. There are 180,000 books written every year. A gazillion websites.

How does one capture the attention and interest of like-minded people?  If you’re a business owner, a leader, a manager – how do you do it? The same way as everyone else?

Feeling Great? Feeling Great!

Suomi?
Suomi?

Can’t put our finger on things sometimes, can we? Stuff happens. Some good. Some not so good. Why? Who knows.

This particular Saturday (today) has been very productive, personally and professionally. Why? Who knows.

It’s funny how our physical health has nice ripples to the other dimensions in Life’s Big Choices. I’m leaning that way.

My running has been getting better, and foot pain has been getting less. I know, who cares? Guess I could say the same thing about Seth Godin’s recent post, “The Wrapper Matters“.

Repetition Is The Key
Repetition Is The Key

Mind, Body, Spirit, Money, HQ.

Life’s big decisions. Life’s big choices.

I think about them, like many people do – in fact, just like you do.

The big difference between having work-life balance, work-life wellness, is in the approach we take. This is a no-brainer. It’s that simple.

If we take a casual approach, we get casual results.

But Not Too Busy

Know Where We Were?
Know Where We Were?

Of course, we are all busy. But not too busy to seize the moment. You know how challenging this is. We all do. Sometimes we win and sometimes we get “buried”.

Last night was a “victory”.

Started the day writing five blogs, with a Pastor shadowing me. Then worked a corporate job (which I love). Then picked up our son at summer camp. Then drove to the Apple Store for a one-to-one session. Then dinner at the Mall food court. Then the long drive home.

The sun was setting as we drove through town. We stopped at the north end of town to have dessert and catch the small town parade as it passed by.
