Being organized sometimes requires luck.

Two-plus hours at the Dentist instead on one hour. No worries, we walked out with the latest in braces technology, Invisalign.

Come home, eat brunch, notice pool waterfall isn’t on. Check pool pump to discover after four years, it’s not working. Ok, so it’s 11am Friday. We leave in 24 hours for a writer’s retreat.

What are the odds of getting a replacement pool pump (with zero notice) the day before leaving home for a week?

Without an immediate (see day) fix this time of year, a week without circulation and we’ll return to an algae pond.

Stakes are high.

Darren was out to the house and done in less than two hours.

Yesterday afternoon, took a break from work and installed a new digital garage door opener.

 

The more risks i take the safer i want them to become.

Running and growing a business are two different things.

Running a business is managing things, growing a business is marketing and sales. And of course product delivery is a hybrid combination of both.

Life gets more complicated when you’re the the CEO.

The new garage door opener app sends an alert every time the door opens or closes. It also provides an ongoing report as well.

Peace of mind, ease of use. Great combo.

Not having garage door openers in our vehicles also feels better.

Most growth is small, daily, and incremental.

The long way is the short cut.

Wrote a simple thank you note to John for his determination and perseverance.

In the card i placed a printed email copy from a client who definitely wants to host a Community Program in Fall 2017.

i have a special place in mind for him to receive it.

Speakers Bureau said their client has upped their original bid by 42%.

Rather than jump on it, the first thought was to walk away.

What?

Yeah, walk away. The early years of an organization become the DNA for every year moving forward.

No one walks into an Apple Store expecting to negotiate the price of a Mac or iPhone.

My creative solution is to agree to payment in full at time of signing. The event is eight months away.
