To keep writing or stop, home

Disney business book author jeff noel
Years ago…Had a few extra minutes of writing at Cinderella Castle before making the return trip to Town Square.

What happens if i stop daily writing?

Who am i if i am not a writer who writes about .thinking .differently, having fun, and leaning into discomfort?

Ps. Received first Social Security payment yesterday. Fixed-income lifestyle is now locked in.

What i hope for today, home

Back to today’s starting line…

Five weeks into the beginning of the 18th consecutive year writing five daily, differently-themed blogs, the question is simple…

How much more writing do you have do, want to do, need to do?

Still don’t know.

Leaning towards continuing through at least Summer 2026, possibly through December.

Why?

To capture this major life transition to fixed-income, no more working lifestyle.

Time will tell.

It always does.

What i wish for today, home

More Paul and Ree questions:

Did you ever see yourselves getting married?

How did you pop the question?

What was it like having Matthew? Alexandra a year later?

What was it like becoming grandparents?

What’s your favorite vacation?

Any advice for me and Cheryl?

Note: Today’s posts were written before heading out of the house to walk and do today’s call. The 20-minute call went well. So great to hear Paul (and Ree) smile and laugh. Yes, i could hear him smiling.

Ps. Copied and pasted today’s questions in Apple Notes app. Only got through a couple. We carried on with stories from College days.

Prioritized priorities are an incredibly vibrant way to run anything. A company. A personal life.

Doing this trip trumps any sort of financial efficiency.

Why?

Because time is sometimes more valuable than money.

The clock is always ticking.

Note to self…

Please be careful.

And intentional.

Happy present moment.

Food for Families
Our 19th consecutive year delivering “Food For Families”. Yesterday morning at Ocoee High School.
A Publix Supermarket produce manager started “Food For Families” because he saw so much edible, but just-expired food get thrown away.

Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from what you can do.

‘Only’ three times each year for 19 years. Not a lot in the big picture.

But 57 events is better than zero, or five.

We did what we could do, without becoming clergy or full-time volunteers.

Noteworthy: Three giant American Holidays in Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Historically, these days do not start out by serving others. Not only were we donating time, but also focus. It’s humbling to change a lifetime routine. For nearly two decades, we received more than we gave on those mornings where others came first.
