“The greatest” died two days ago (June 3). Little did i know two weeks ago as i snapped all these photos that his life was coming to an end.
If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough. – jeff noel

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Straight from Walt Disney Imagineering…The closer you get, the better it looks.
Weave every detail to tell a great story.
The long shot.
The close up.
Details.
Obsessive details.
Connect emotionally.
Use all the emotions. Laugh, cry.

Last Sunday in mass (today is Friday) an idea came and i tore off a corner of the Church bulletin to capture a thought. (would normally just write a note on the iPhone Notes app, but it would have looked like i was texting in Church)
Catalytic speeches for organizations that want to change the world, using Disney’s time-tested corporate culture blueprints.
Or, simply this:
Catalytic speeches.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and often feels like carving a toothpick out of a log.

The Internet has ruptured the notion of “secrets”.
Doesn’t matter if we don’t like it.
It’s the new world order.
Learning (and adapting to) the new landscape is the new pioneering opportunity.
Anyone can analyze your methods, and then copy or rework it, and compete against your “proprietary” system.
Life is not fair.
This makes a compelling case for putting accessibility limits on your key content and methods.
This is the other management consulting company i recommended in addition to Disney Institute.
Bold is as bold does and i told the CEO that neither consulting group will do what i do, nor can they.
She’ll be paying someone a hefty fee. And may she get more than she pays for.

Not only is technology cool, but so is initiative.
Through a Disney College Program Alumni Association, Stephanie asked for the opportunity to speak with me and ask questions. Neither of us knew it would last an hour.
Stephanie earned more time simply because she exceeded my expectations. She took the initiative (which was neither a requirement nor an expectation) to do some investigating (research) on the person she wanted to learn from.
Stephanie asked great questions.
She also revealed late in the conversation (which also exceeded expectations, because she never led with it to impress me) that she read 50 posts each on all five blogs (250 posts).
Wow.
She learned, eventually, how to use the easy hyperlinks to navigate from one website to the next. But that’s a story for another time.
She also ordered my book.
Initiative is difficult to hide.
Lack of initiative is also difficult to hide.
i talk to many ambitious people who are in the early stages of their career. Almost without exception, they ask without giving.
Stephanie stood out because she was a giver first.
