Yesterday the CEO gave me 20 minutes. Being off the grid for 9 days and jet-lagged could have been disastrous but it wasn’t.

The unfair advantage only you control is being decently organized.

This does not mean your life is perfect, but it does mean that you are decently organized.

Being decently organized helps you through the times when life feels overwhelming.

Feeling overwhelmed is a fairly consistent feeling – rather than occasional – when you are not decently organized.

A month and a half past due, but i renewed my annual USATF membership yesterday.

 

Things can crumble apart even when you’re organized. The thought of trying to get through the past few days as a disorganized person blows my mind. i could barely keep it together; being decently organized is the only thing that saved my sanity.

Get used to it.

Let it piss you off.

Let it compel you to commit to slaying it.

Let your determination to succeed be enough to get your temptations to quit…to beg for mercy.

Today begins day four of the first workweek as a retiree.

There was a fair amount of catchup work to do because the actual date only left 25 days notice.

Add in travel, a big work load, and a pressing deadline and you have the perfect recipe for the paperwork of life to pile up quickly.

Made a big dent in the pile yesterday.

Goal for today – eliminate any remaining pile.

The daily work required to free ourselves up from the burden of work left undone is insidiously draining.
