Waiting for permission is deadly

Orlando's Best Disney Keynote Speakers

Waiting for permission to go is deadly. Not at an intersection when the light is red, but in life when the light is green and we still don’t go.

Six years ago this month the first blog posts were written. A few here, a few there. Nothing really.

And then he granted himself permission to fail. Try to write five differently themed posts for 100 consecutive days (it was certainly doomed to fail)…

Whatever you’re waiting for, hasn’t it been long enough?

Being organized takes discipline.

Anything that’s good and decent requires discipline.

Struggle with the effort, or struggle with the regret.

The time will pass anyway.

Tomorrow is today’s enemy.

Do one thing today that makes you more organized.

Do more than one if you want, but do at least one. Period.

The freedom to unleash

What if?

The freedom to unleash our potential is astonishing under used.

In fact, it’s as if terrorists have ensured we never consider our unlimited potential again.

Well guess what?

There’s a new sheriff in town.

Humble.

With the strength of 10,000 Angels.

You are the CEO of You, Inc.

Go.

Be amazing.

Here’s why we fail

Holy Family Catholic Church stage

(photo: The road to heck is paved with good intentions.)

Here’s why we fail.

We tell people what we’re gonna do and our brain sends endorphins out, making us feel good about our bold plan to change or create.

We like this.

In fact, we dig the way we feel from these bold proclamations.

And then we fail.

We fail because talk is cheap.

Please don’t tell us what you’re going to do.

Tell us after you’ve done it.

Not a minute before.

Why?

Because you can’t say you did something if you haven’t.

But anyone can make a great claim to change.

So predictable.

And boring, and tiring, and well, you know.

Try it next time you want to kick your butt about that big thing you’ve always wanted to do.

And watch how it changes you.

PS. Congratulations in advance.
