School Spring Festival — Roughly 20 booths total.

The School’s Spring Festival last night was much better than expected. Rode a bicycle due to anticipated parking challenges. Scoped out the business vendors area to see if it feels worth it for next year.

It did.

Pondered these:

What makes a business booth stand out?
How do you not make people walking by feel nervous about getting spammed with an unwanted “pitch”?
What is the driving purpose and desired outcome from a booth?
Is the outcome a pipe dream or tangibly within reach?

The clock is ticking. Always.

A year from now will seem like yesterday.

The cross i bear

Disney Customer Service Keynote Speakers — Great Customer Service, and organizational vibrancy, is my life’s work.

State Farm and Chase Bank tested my patience yesterday. PS. It didn’t last long because i caught myself.

A week went by and i thought our car would be close to being repaired and ready to go.

State Farm said it hasn’t been started.

Later, the Chase branch manager arranged a meeting for me to speak with one of her staff about a Home Equity line of credit.

Arriving for the appointment, i was ushered into an office with two people, not one. The other was a Wealth Management specialist. i told the branch manager i didn’t want a pitch.

And that’s exactly what they orchestrated.

World-class service is difficult to scale, even from some of the America’s most popular brands.
