Simple reminder where to pick up the keynote recording today.

It has taken three tries to get to the two-hour mark in Apple’s WWDC 2015 keynote recording. Only 23 more minutes. Being organized means having the patience, and commitment, to invest four time chunks to get it done.

The long way is the short cut

West Orange High School Student Guidance office
Yesterday at 8:00am.

We parked at 6:50am for an 8:00am first-come-first-served process for ninth-grade registration. This process is for any student who wasn’t already in the Orange County School system as an 8th grader.

We were first, checked in, got a nice seat together and then painfully watched as the next several families were turned away because they hadn’t properly organized the needed materials.

It was quite an effort to pull it all together. It becomes even more work when short cuts are intentional or unintentional.

Over-manage the same things others either under-manage or ignore.

That is Disney’s business secret.

That is my personal secret.

The difference between under-managing and over-managing is what it takes to be world-class.

Confidence doesn’t fall from the sky. It’s built and reinforced, one thought, or one blog post, at a time.
