You know what else?

You know what happened today?

Had a 90-minute Zoom call with two people. Note, was expecting only one but grateful for the add.

As i compose this at the end of the day, i realize i don’t have the bandwidth to write all the cool things from the meeting. Perhaps tomorrow. And if not tomorrow, please know it was super cool.

Fear of success?

If we lived life unafraid of death, what would change?

We don’t fear death as much as we fear something else.

We fear having to change into who we know we really want to be.

The paperwork of life

Post-it note with handwriting
Days later, still working to close my Old GoDaddy Legacy account. Multiple calls, on multiple days, to multiple people. A few emails too. The drag from ‘administrative friction’ puts unproductive strain on our time and psyche.
Oil leak on concrete under a car
Same unwelcome drag when one issue, car repair, becomes a series of domino-effect unresolved administrative chores. Pictured here is a new oil leak, after $3,600 (and three weeks). Will have to return to Action Gator Tire and begin again to ask, “Why is this happening? It wasn’t happening before i brought it to you. Please exceed my expectations, if possible.”

Getting eight hours of sleep is a daily ‘to-do’. It is never on a list though. It’s an automatic (atomic) habit. Actually got nine hours last night. Yay me. Day seven, Flu-A. Sleep is recovery medicine.

The cosmos.

Inexplicable.

Hard to articulate.

But i feel a cosmic energy shift in my commitment to minimalism.

Note: i envision less of everything is more of everything. It sounds paradoxical. Which is in my wheelhouse. So that feels like money in the bank.

Dude, happy 52nd birthday

Walt Disney World's Eyes and Ears
Can’t fathom being there on the first anniversary. Wait, yes i can.

Who am i being that others do not see incredible possibility?

dad

Fifty-two years of Walt Disney World Magic.

October 1, 1971.

Yesterday was the anniversary.

Intentionally waited.

Why?

Because few remember.

Fewer still, care.

And there’s FOMO.

If you don’t act smart on the specific day odds are you’ll miss your opportunity to look smart – a fan-boy as they say.

Seeing the Magic Kingdom fireworks nightly (year after year) is my thought.

You can’t live less than a mile from WDW and have 66 combined years of service under your roof and not know what yesterday is.
