A few days ago i had a three hour phone call from a long-time (former) Disney colleague. The most impactful moment was his reaction to me sharing that i was willing to walk away from a large contract.

What i’m saying is, he was incredibly inspired by this.

Turns out, there are still people left in the world who will make decisions using their values first and their pocket book second.

PS. i knew if i walked away, i would miss the revenue, but the purchase of a powerful story would have been priceless.

Turns outs, i got the story for free.

There are all trying to get picked, and they make their skills, experience, and abilities sound ah-mazing.

i on the other hand, dislike (understatement of 2015) hype. So i wrote this thought the other day:

My recipes aren’t complicated. Anyone can tell you what the recipes are (even by copying mine). But no one can explain them in depth and breadth, with personal Disney example after personal Disney example.

Yesterday’s speech was envisioned and practiced down to the smallest detail.

There is always the chance that what we offer can be overwhelming to the recipient.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect.

We worked so hard on the back end to ensure an excellent product. The printer is part of the success recipe and they did an awesome job making sure everything was exactly as we had hoped.

Can’t wait to use the new interior design. Lots of white space for participants to write how they believe the content applies to their specific situation.

This Disney speaker never gives the same speech twice

Vehicle decal — Entering the airport parking garage, this is the first thing i see. The timing is stunning.

Each speech i do is different from any other speech i’ve delivered. And each speech is used as another step up the confidence ladder. However, with the Montreal speech, i took a giant two-step step.

Note: The business man sitting across the exit row aisle seat from me was from France. We chatted before taking off in New York, and for a little while longer as we climbed to cruising altitude. He was heading to Gaylord Palms (near Disney) for a Dentist convention. He’s a Dentist in France. He checked his messages as soon as we landed, and he was the first to share the horrific Paris attacks last night. He lives in eastern France, but has a nephew in Paris. He immediately called his nephew (who was alright) and his nephew told him, “Stay in America.”
