Magic Kingdom OmniBus view. Yesterday.
two dreamers at Disney
Spontaneous fun, the OmniBus vantage points where incredible.

i’m sold on Rob.

Told him so numerous times yesterday at the Magic Kingdom and again in the Publix parking lot.

Building a team of trusted partners.

In honor of (probably) making it to my 60th birthday, 2019’s reach is the highest it’s ever been.

As if that’s even possible.

And with the right mindset (attitude), it’s always possible.

When you plan something

Apple Pen automatic setup with iPad
Yesterday. Keep learning. Keep pushing. Never settle. Never used an iPad as my main frame. Never used an Apple Pencil either. Retiring both 2015 MacBook 12″ “main frames” in the spirit of portability and proactive change.

When you plan something and then do it, your experience will fall into three ratings:

  1. Goes exactly as planned (rare)
  2. Goes worse than planned
  3. Goes better than planned

Last night’s Disney keynote speech was well worth it for Chapin to hear.

The format changed (adding a second speaker) before we attended (and after tickets were purchased) and the format changed a second time (Q & A instead of presentation) when we arrived.

The moderated Q&A was different and interesting.

It was not what i hyped to Chapin.

We had a decent debrief on the 40-minute drive home.

Bottom line, 100% worth our time, money, and effort.

On paper, we can do many things

car in snow
Not a fan of cold. Moving to Florida solved this for the rest of my life.

On paper, we can do many things.

But the harsh reality is we over-plan.

We take on too much.

Do you floss your teeth every night?

If not, ask yourself why?

Your answer will prove my point.

PS. Only floss the teeth you plan to keep.

Work that takes so long and is so hard that it is never finished or never begun

Mid Life Celebration check book
Haven’t written enough checks in five years to move to a second booklet… feels good

Turned in 2013 paperwork for Mid Life Celebration’s tax preparation yesterday April 3, 2014.

Not many checks get written, but the Visa card gets a serious monthly workout.

What are we called to do?

For the past 63 months (five years worth plus Jan-Mar this year), MLC has spent $1,000/month in building a platform and a solid foundation on which to raise money for a cure.

Some would ask cynically, why not just donate $63,000 to CCFA?

A low risk ,short term approach thinks this way.

A bold, crazy mind thinks about impossible.

Very few breakthroughs come without hard work. Long work.

Work that takes so long and is so hard that it is never finished or never begun.

Make no small plans.

Life is not a dress rehearsal.
