So it’s like this…

Fed Ex delivery location
Fed Ex left the package on the chair rather the nearby covered front porch.

So it’s like this…

What if…

Fed Ex delivers a package in a cardboard box and leaves it in the driveway. No big deal right?

What if it rains, what if the residents are away for a few days? What if…

What if the driver would have walked a few more feet and placed it by the front door, under the covered porch?

In an earlier post today about everything happens for a reason the lesson is clear:

This is a first world problem. Maybe the driver is going through some sort of personal hell. If it would have been damaged or stolen, it is replaceable. Let go of how it was handled compared to how you thought it should have gone down.

i learned to grow my patience with imperfection.

Because it’s what i hope other’s will do with my imperfections.

The dreams of being an entrepreneur are becoming real

(photos: Things that would have been missed from inside a car. All photos are from an 11-mile-run loop behind Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park.) (The final two photos are a Disney Cast Member Good Samaritan providing roadside assistance in a remote area.)

Began the run with wool hat and gloves. Over the course of three hours, it turned into a Chamber of Commerce kind of day. Perfect for yesterday, December 10, 2014.

Eight mile jog plus three mile walk.

A day like yesterday is the result of six years of planning as a small business owner and 30 years as a Walt Disney World Cast Member.

And it all began when a young couple living on the Washington-Idaho boarder decided to risk everything and move to Orlando with no jobs.

They both began making entry-level wages, got lucky in a low-income mortgage finance lottery, bought a starter home 30 miles from Disney, and managed with one car and one bicycle.

The weather was a perfect metaphor

Orlando's Best Keynote Speaker jeff noel

(photo: The one on the right inspired the notion of ‘early retirement’)

The weather was a perfect metaphor. It was stormy. Cloudy. Torrential rain. The opposite of the perfect party weather. Unusual for Central Florida.

Such is life.

Make the best of whatever comes our way.

And along the way, be incredibly organized so no matter what happens, you can deal with it in joy and gratitude.

We didn’t get to spend a fraction of the time we could have out on Disney’s Contemporary Resort observation decks, which provide the best views in the entire 40+ square mile complex.

But we were still in the Napa Room. 🙂

Take your time but hurry up

Middle aged group walking along country road

(photo: It was so sunny and dry when the trip started. What happens when stormy weather unexpectedly arrives?)

Be organized enough for incredible risk taking.

Looks good on paper.

What about real life?

Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Take your time but hurry up.

Orlando Based Motivational Speaker at Orlando airport

Real life in real time. That’s how it happens.

Got home at 3:40AM (just a few hours ago)

Upset?

Not in the least.

Why?

Because it’s a first world challenge.

We weren’t evacuating because our city was being bombed.

Although some travelers appeared that stressed.

With decent personal organization we organize so there is nothing monumentally pressing at home on the day we travel.
