How close is the next breakthrough?

Disney Speakers
Multiple opportunities exist in the Glacier National Park communities.

Fifteen days until the Summer business season begins with the first of multiple business visits.

Lofty, maybe even impossible goals.

Embracing the reality…

It might not work.

A tolerance for unpredictability and unforeseen obstacles is fueled by the knowledge (and personal experience) that breakthroughs can happen at any time – especially when you work with vision, persistence, tenacity, and hope.

Expect to start seeing Glacier National Park updates soon

Glacier Park road updates
Camas Road opened yesterday.

What is fun for you?

Planning and visiting Glacier National Park?

Ok.

Road openings will take longer in the higher elevations.

Could be mid-July until Logan Pass is open.

Mid-July, can you imagine being closed because of snow until then?

Expect to start seeing Glacier National Park updates soon

Thanks for your trademark enthusiasm

Glacier National Park
Grinnell Glacier hike…taken with iPhone.

(Word for word, my email response to a Disney colleague who’s joining me on a Glacier trip…)

Dude, other than Alaska, this may be America’s most natural, unspoiled land.

One million acres, 734 miles of trail, 300 Grizzlies.

Forgot to tell you not to worry about seating…hope you got aisle or whatever you like.

Also forgot, on the flight into Kalispell, i ALWAYs aim for a window seat on the right side (away from the wing)…on a clear day, you get an advance look at the place.

Thanks for your trademark enthusiasm.

Trying hard to not think epically

Lake McDonald
This morning’s Twitter feed for Glacier National Park. This view is standard from Village Inn at Apgar.

Trying hard to not think epically.

So far it’s not working very well.

To complete all seven Disney Business Books this Summer wil be epic.

To complete them in Glacier National Park will be epic.

To launch a new VIP Executive Retreat experience in Glacier will be epic.

To be able to walk away if an Executive doesn’t see the life-changing value…powerfully epic.

That the first writing trip is less than two months away is epic.

The fact that i am considering this my final Summer for the 10-year plan i began in 2009 – epic.

Being organized helps you recover from unexpected changes

Homemade Airline seat chart
Seating for five of us on one of this Summer’s Glacier National Park trips. This is what United was able to rearrange for the return flights – much better then before the call.

Being organized helps you recover from unexpected changes.

Went to add a fifth passenger to our trip itinerary and panicked.

Our return flight wasn’t available for Skylar.

Why?

Because the return flight from Kalispell, MT to Orlando, FL through Denver had changed – without notice.

Now, we don’t fly from Kalispell to Denver to Orlando. It’s been changed and has an added leg from Denver to Chicago and then on home to Orlando.

Our seats had been mismanaged from the original plan. A long call to United to request our seats be together like i had originally booked and it got sorted out pretty well.

Rather than be angry about the extra time and effort required on the return trip, i surrendered to the fact that we can afford the trip, etc, etc.
