“Thought of you”

“Thought of you”.

Received this image (above) in a client’s text.

While rare, i have used the “bead jar” in a few presentations.

It’s in the TEDx Talk from Kuwait a month ago.

It should be posted live soon.

How are your daily habits and rituals?

hand held phone
Can’t remember the last time i held a phone to talk.

How are your daily habits and rituals?

On a call yesterday with a 40-something client.

He still holds his phone to his ear.

This fact surfaced when we had to stop talking for a few seconds while i switched to a backup pair of Air Pods.

Really, you haven’t switched to a better way?

And we wonder why young people don’t embrace our “wisdom”.

It’s because from where they stand, they don’t see too much wisdom.

Don’t believe me? When was the last time you exercised regularly and for at least 10 consecutive years?

#Attitude

i am taught attitude about personal organization and simplicity by others who become great examples or stern warnings.

This is also how we teach others who are watching us.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

What is our responsibility?

Nursing home
Yesterday, the 89-year old was concerned about getting back on time or risking poor treatment.

What is our responsibility?

Do we confront – honestly, openly, and lovingly – glaring situations or is it better to look the other way? Maybe avoiding confrontation is actually the high road.

Maybe it isn’t.

Where is the line for codependence and should we cross it (at any cost)?

Perhaps the only way to discover uncharted territory is to go there.
