The Disney structure, processes, and reputation is legendary.

The pressure to uphold the Disney Way ebbs and flows every decade.

IllumiNations will “come down” (be removed) overnight.

Like Magic.

It was an incredible 20-year run.

Being able to change my evening plans on a dime yesterday to dine at Epcot and watch the final show is not lost on me.

i often pinch myself and ask, “Is this really happening?”

Son, you remember being there a couple times as a child, when i needed to pick something up (or drop off something) on the weekend.

i was one of the first to work remotely from home.

DI does just fine without Bob and me.

We are doing exceptionally well since leaving DI.

Son, life has a funny way of living up to the theory that risk and reward are decently proportional.

What?

That Disney creativity doesn’t just fall from the sky.

Technology is simply a delivery method.

The idea still has to come from human creativity.

If your organization is not robustly creative before technology, odds are great that you won’t be after technology either.

It’s like getting a wonderful gym membership and new athletic shoes…if you aren’t motivated to transform, you’ll live the same inactive life you led before.

Son, understand the DNA of “why” and your what and how will take care of themselves.
