Port Canaveral return 7am, home

16-second video: Responding to the voice message i just received.

i love being myself.

When you are your brand (and you are), you are trustworthy because everything about you is aligned.

What you say.

What you do.

What you believe in.

Why you believe in it.

Your hopes.

Your efforts.

Your tenacity to make your efforts achieve your hopes.

Finally, happy present moment. Today is not on many radars…

Note: Not a video. Ps. Today is the shortest daylight of the year. Tomorrow we begin the ascent to the shortest darkness of the year.

Sea Day #3, home

14-second video: Epiphany!

Walking for 2.5 hours today exposed a BFO.

The video is a note to myself for when we get back to dry land.

To infinity and beyond.

Grand Turk 7am-4pm, home

29-second video: Watched back to back shows before bedtime.

Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow”.

Same thing happens tomorrow when you think about the promises you made to yourself today.

There’s beauty in knowing this.

How?

Once keenly aware, you can hone your habits so you don’t have to make promises for tomorrow.

Amber Cove 9am-6pm, home

Island recreation center
It’s a bigger tourist operation than it looks.
ATV trail and riders
Took just one photo while we were stopped. i was the last ATV in a train of eight.
Apple Watch at beach
Paid for a minor fender bender. Note: We sat under this amazing pair of Sea Grape trees.
7-second video: Midway we stopped for a short tour of a “typical” residence. They use propane now. Before propane, they used a fire like here.
17-second video: Multiple buildings for: sleeping, eating, cooking, bathroom. There is a primitive septic drain field in this video.
3-second video: Homestead tour concludes and we are resuming the ATV experience.
12-second video: Our private lounge — an upper-level Carnival loyalty perk. It begins with the “balcony pool” and goes 25 lounge chairs to the right. Then a long row of stateroom cabanas all the way to the ship’s front.

Would you rather have a trivial public embarrassment, or a significant private embarrassment?

The longer i live the less i get embarrassed.

Why?

Everyone “screws up”. Everyone.

Private significant screwups can last a lifetime.

Trivial public screwups are over soon after they happen.

The Universe is kind like that. Grateful for the cosmos.

Man in hot tub
Cheryl came over to verify i hadn’t frozen.
23-second video: Another great day. Sunset from our lounge.

Your prioritized priorities are the most honest autobiography you’ll ever write.

Todays posts inspired by this from Farnam Street:

“Your calendar is the most honest autobiography you’ll ever write. It doesn’t matter what you say your priorities are; your calendar reveals the truth. Each block is a decision about what matters, stripped of pretense and rationalization. Your calendar isn’t just recording your time—it’s exposing your lies.”
