What if it all burns?
Unthinkable.
Also, people are saying Jimmy Carter is the greatest ever “former-President”.
Side note: Have never heard Jimmy touted as the “greatest” President. But what he did after his presidency is what earned this unofficial distinction.
Ps. Jimmy Carter’s eulogy is where i gleaned the previous two paragraphs.

Reusing this from two days ago. A bookend if you will.
Last night while on LinkedIn i see this post. Wow! Pursuit Collection joins NYSE January 7, 2025. Pursuit runs hospitality operations in and next to Glacier National Park.
For most of my 30-year Disney career, work was my top priority.
Luckily, i consistently put physical health second.
Leadership at Disney demands your best, your 100% commitment, your sacrifice. It’s not a blatant ask. It’s subtle, subliminal, invisible, and generally unspoken.
So i was decently able to stop, or at least slow, the physical ramifications of the inherent physical neglect on exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
i hope future Disney Leaders (and leaders everywhere) will work in an environment that makes health a priority over work.
Ps. It’s kinda fun to do the impossible. -Walt

“Mickey and Minnie”. Felt like it sometimes. We share 66 combined years of Disney Service.
Imagine one couple.
Working a combined 66 years at the same company.
Now imagine if they had lived out the original plan for 80 combined years.
Crazy!
Right?

Entering town from the West. i grew up in a small housing development East of this small town. Behind the sign is the PH Glatfelter Paper Mill “Coater Building”. The coater added a shiny finish to any grade of paper it coated. Spent two college summers working in the Coater Building. The green-striped bridge was used by people but it was designed as a conveyor for large rolls of finished paper to get coated.
Where is Spring Grove?
Pennsylvania.
Small town, founded 1749.
Not far from the Maryland border (also known as the Mason-Dixon Line).
Maybe 30 minutes East of Gettysburg. About 100 miles West of Philadelphia.

Bob did things differently. Wanted to see if the movie would offer work-life insights i haven’t thought of.
Dylan seems to march to his own beat. All great artists do. Many aspiring artists do too. But something separates the most compelling from the others chasing their art.
Common theme in the movie is Bob always had his guitar. Always. He always had his harmonica too.
The book on Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett: All I Want To Know Is Where I’m Going To Die So I’ll Never Go There: Buffett & Munger – A Study in Simplicity and Uncommon, Common Sense
Shane Parish summarizes his main take aways, in his words:
1. Wisdom is prevention. 2. The fundamental algorithm of life: repeat what works. 3. The wise of every generation discover the same truths. 4. Avoid distraction. 5. Spend time thinking. 6. Position yourself for opportunity. 7. Invert: Much of success comes from simply avoiding common paths to failure. 8. Avoiding stupidity is easier than seeking brilliance. 9. The weakest link causes the problem.
My add to Shane’s list is simple–become a great CEO of You, Inc. Then lead, engage, serve, love, and improve.
