On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Happy 14th birthday to my brother-in-law, John.
Even though today (as i write this) is November 21, 2015, i’m “organized enough” to know this will post on February 29, 2016.
What is so much fun with writing five daily, differently-themed posts on five different websites, is that you can do or say anything you want, knowing that you write simply because it completes you, not because you have a captive audience that will walk away if you are boring.

As an alcoholic, i can speak first hand to what the two photos summarize. The hand-written words on the chop-stick wrapper share the bottom-line on the false beliefs an inebriated (uninhibited) person experiences. Our son added the observation on the bottom photo.
Personal leadership means we are either masters or servants to our habits.
Note: December 31, 2001 was the first New Years Eve i didn’t drink. Haven’t had a drop since December 30, 2001.

In the absence of having all the answers…
We must forge ahead anyway. Making mistakes.
Making mistakes is one of the best indicators you are making progress.
We will never know what we are capable of until we discover we aren’t capable.
And then, oh and then…and then we can try again in a different way (risking another failure) and repeating this process until we eventually become capable at what we weren’t capable of.
