The day our music died…

personal journaling
personal journaling is the best tool for self awareness

The day our music died… on a brisk morning run 30 minutes ago, it hit me… what if I quit blogging and you came here only to find the daily blogging had stopped.

This month I’m inviting the Mid Life Celebration community to follow all five daily blogs about work life balance. It couldn’t be easier to go from this HQ blog to the mental attitude blog , just click -> go to Next Blog

Two things every small business entrepreneur endures

small biz metaphors
brand new (left) and well-worn (right)… same shoe, different factors… small biz metaphor

Two things every small business entrepreneur endures:

1. uncertainty
2. patience for success

What’s your email inbox methodology?

priorities
right now, neither one is worried about the in box

Yesterday while cleaning out older emails, this one about watermarking your photos had to go. Painfully, it sat in the inbox four months. Hopefully, in 100 days or so (today), I’ll be ready to act on it.

Breathing is easiest when there are fewer than five inbox emails. At 50 emails, stress rises. A lot. I’m down to 25 and will not stop until they are all read, filed, and or deleted.

Did I mention I’m on vacation today (and working, of course)? Yeah, being a small business owner can be stifling. I better get used to it – or get out.

Determination is the DNA of success – in anything – including a small email inbox.

One of the most important personal questions no one answers themselves

purpose in life
any wind is fine to a sailing ship without a rudder

One of the most important personal questions no one answers themselves…  do we know where we are going?

Do we know what we are being prepared for? Should we care? Do we care?

What if we don’t?

What if we do?

Short and pithy blog posts can slip away even when you try not to let them

simple or complex
simple and easy… or bulky and complicated? No brainer, eh?

Short and pithy blog posts can slip away even when you try not to let them. A promise is a promise. There is an exception to every rule. Life goes on…

How was that? Toughest thing is to say a lot without saying a lot.
