By the way, I am not saying, nor attempting to imply, that we are bad when we are disorganized. What I’m saying, from 52 years of personal experience and keen observation is this: my life is easier (not easy), more (not perfectly) productive and more effective in direct proportion to my ability to get and stay organized.

Common sense Insight: Life comes at us every day. Our piles will grow unmanageable, like weeds in a garden, if we don’t tend to them.

What do you make of it?

Metaphorically in the office of life, how is your furniture arranged? Organized? Coordinated? Eclectic? Simple? Complex? Relaxing? Inviting? Cluttered? Stressful? Inspiring? Demotivating?

Insight: If we can not organize our office, we can not organize our thoughts. Clear thinking is the key to deciding for ourselves what’s important.

Always consider the source. Has it, or have they, stood the test of time?

Yesterday’s post reminded me (it’s ridiculously easy to forget) that hard work is the key to success. But working hard to achieve our goals isn’t the first step.

Insight: Most of what we think is important is from osmosis. This is dangerous if our sources haven’t figured out the basics.
