May Day 2016 he received his first storyboard template

Yesterday, May Day 2016, he received his first storyboard template.

A school-project-like cardboard tri-fold poster board and a pack of post-it notes.

A five-minute overview of my completed, hanging on the wall, Disney Leadership book storyboard.

The goal is to write his first book by Memorial day and publish it in August before the first day of 10th grade.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

The book was written, designed, and printed before i announced it publicly.

 

Does your project matter?

Does it matter enough for the risk and the effort you’re putting into it?

 

Yes. In fact, it is so important i left a 30-year Disney career at a company i adore.

 

Is it possible — has anyone with your resources ever pulled off anything like this?

 

Yes. Hundreds (maybe more) invested in nothing but their big dream and built their platform while working full time in high pressure jobs. And they’ve never looked back.

How many people want to write a book?

How many believe they can write a book?

How many actually do?

Two days ago, I said to my wife, “You know, depending on your definition of a book, I’ve already written five.”

And you know what Cheryl said?  And by the way, this is one of the million things that I love about Cheryl, because she’s so smart, she said, “I know.”

Tomorrow, I’ll share a free link to Roger Parker’s checklist for getting a book published.  That is, unless you have no story to tell. But I sincerely doubt that.

Everyone has a story to tell.

Don’t die with a book in you.
