The choice is always up to us

Yesterday i ran into The Fresh Market for salmon and filet mignon, and some vegetables for two night’s worth of dinners.

Someone was organized enough to create a beautiful and decadent (suger) display at the checkout aisle.

Too bad America hasn’t gotten organized enough to put healthier choices in the same location.

This puts the organizational ownership on us to make the best choices.

The little things are time consuming

Florida Black Eyed Susans — Yesterday at Disney’s Sun Trust Office Building.

Slow and steady wins the race.

The little things, the small steps, these take time and hardly seem like progress.

Time enough to get a haircut and hand pick – plus personally deliver – flowers to Cheryl’s office in Downtown Walt Disney World.

There was also time for some gardening too – a passion that has taken a back seat to parenting for nearly 15 years.

Since retiring from Disney, my new boss has been amazing.

Another in a constant repetition of insignificant days

West Orange High School Bus line up — Dozens of busses.

Just another insignificant day:

Visit Apple store to try on the Apple Watch…the one ordered a week ago.
Visit Tax Preparer to pay for completed 2014 tax return and pick up personal files.
Visit West Orange High School Ninth Grade Center to verify 2015-16 school enrollment process.

The only one that was planned was number two.

The most significant was number three. Had felt a terrible sense of disorganization thinking i had majorly dropped the ball. Turns out, there are two more months before High School registration begins.

Our Tax Preparer saved us $14k.

The meeting ran twice as long as expected

Disney Executive Leadership Speakers — This place is so close to Lakeside Village.

The meeting (with the Disney intern) ran twice as long as expected. The coolest thing was a schedule that allowed it to happen with zero pressure to be somewhere else. A contributing factor was the proximity to HQ (home).

My French Cafe, in Lakeside Village, is a quaint gathering spot for locals, right behind Disney’s north Cast entrance.

Have been a local since the land was an Orange Grove. The insight is that in not giving up, the journey (progress, growth) becomes the reward – in each of life’s five big choices.

Guilty as charged should rarely happen

Disney Customer Service Speakers — Yesterday, asked Julie at Losada Vision to capture a few photos of different glasses – to show Cheryl.

Being decent organized requires everything we have. We will stumble, falter, back peddle, but we must never lose sight of our goal – to keep our affairs in order.

Annual physical later this morning.

Yesterday, dentist, eye doctor, allergist.

Try to do these things every January. Even though it’s mid-February, it’s better than mid-August.

Never followed through with last year’s contact lenses prescription. Too busy.
