  • wake
  • pray
  • read, check work stuff
  • not enough time to run
  • walk to McDonalds for breakfast
  • check work stuff
  • set up laptop and recheck av (audio/visual)
  • meet client and hotel staff
  • greet and welcome participants
  • teach two four-hour programs
  • eat
  • check work stuff
  • call home
  • sleep

Will I be organized enough to leave for Paris without any stress? Being gone for five full days on another continent is routine for some. As a road warrior, I’ve contained travel to North America. The world is getting smaller and opportunity is getting bigger. I’m open to what lies ahead. Including learning a few new things to be organized for.

Insight: Just when you have great systems and processes in place, be prepared for more and different.

The best facilitator I ever knew could walk up to a small group of people (many times I was in one of these groups), start a conversation about something trivial, ask a few questions to keep the dialogue going, and then leave.

It wasn’t until after he left the company we worked for that his brilliance surfaced. You see, every time he left, I realized he had just taught something. He was teaching me how to be a facilitator. Guy was the boss. I was a big time rookie.
