When it rains it pours

Healthy aging tips
So yeah, number two – get outdoors.

Trying to balance multiple trips, multiple priorities, and multiple friends and family.

The goal is to finish writing the seven Disney Business books.

Glacier National Park.

Summer 2018.

Five trips.

Forty-one days.

Possibilities include…

Immediate Family.

Relatives.

College buddies.

Disney colleagues.

As well as a desire to go solo.

It all started from a desperate attempt for a Family vacation

It all started from a desperate attempt for a Family vacation.

Waited too long to book accommodations and the only availability inside the Park was for a week when high school is in session.

Who pulls their kid out of school for a week shortly after the new school year starts?

But i stayed on it and eventually secured mid-summer accommodations for our Family trip to Glacier.

On a whim, i kept the other week’s reservation. You can cancel within 72 hours for free.

Didn’t need to cancel it.

Talked a college buddy into going with me.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Last year became year two for this same time frame and a different college buddy came with me.

This summer will be the third in a row for that same week in Glacier National Park.

Writing in Glacier is the most inspiring writing i’ve ever done.

This claim is not socially acceptable

Glacier National Park Eastern perimeter, driving North to St Mary, and then West to Logan Pass.

Not gonna lie.

Feeling tinges of guilt for wanting to spend as much of Summer 2018 in Glacier as i can.

Feeling anxiety for the audacious goal of living my life as if i had only ten years left.

Why?

Because there are less than 18 months for the “deadline”.

(Remember, i made this visionary statement six months before my 50th birthday, when i officially incorporated my business on January 1, 2009)

To arbitrarily call Summer 2018 my last is socially not acceptable.

No one is running up to me reassuring me i’m on to something extraordinary, brave, and inspiring.

No.

One.

PS. My “deadline” is June 8, 2019 – my 60th birthday – and therefore Summer 2019 is not an option.

PSS. Obviously, life may grant many more years and Summers. And yet there’s the remote possibility – for any of us – we won’t see this Summer.

Here’s to watching videos on New Years Day 2018

Part of me would love to do something this epic.

Part of me says it’s too risky.

Stay focused in 2018

Highline Trail
Summer 2016, hiking Glacier National Park’s Highline Trail. Looking forward to hiking it again in 2018.

Stay focused in 2018.

Tons of distractions.

At the top of the list:

Fear, doubt, competing priorities.

Stay focused.

Your clock is ticking.

Live like you mean it.

Go.
