A lovely last evening at the Lake McDonald Boat House

Had to. One last set of Disney Character photos before leaving tomorrow.

Farewell, from all of us.

Goodbye my friends.

Walked up the shore for the first time.

Beautiful home on an exquisite location. View unblocked (and unmatched).

Glacier National Park in September
Closer inspection reveals the truth. A sad state of disrepair – rotting wood.

Glacier National Park in September
While i spent a great deal of time looking up, there were also moments looking down at the rocky shore. Hundreds of thousands of stones and i spot this one.

Final picture yesterday.

Made tough decisions as i returned to the cable-less wall for the last time (ever?).

Sure, another Hidden Lake Trail hike would have been amazing.

It would have provided more time to ponder life and how to continue putting a dent in our Universe.

However.

A second Hidden Lake Trail hike would have been a greedy exercise.

Time.

Time at the Boat House.

The Lake McDonald shore.

The view.

The unhurried time to think.

Ok, deep breath…go straight to the rental car, stow backpack in trunk, snap a few parting photos, and then haul it (drive) back to Apgar.

At 2:33pm, the goal was to be “home” at 5pm.

Made it with minutes to spare.

What a lovely last evening at the Boat House.

As organized as i am and as early as i woke up, it remains a mystery why it has taken me 13 hours to write today’s posts.

Adding photos to these posts will take at least an hour, maybe more.

So many amazing pictures last night.

Hidden Lake Trail. There’s an outside chance i’ll get there late this afternoon.

Not betting on it, but hoping it can happen.
