Organization reaped some decent rewards yesterday.

Intentionally walked away from a nicely priced, but too low, speaking opportunity.
Contracted a project manager. A person i trust and a highly-esteemed former Disney Colleague.
CEO gave verbal commitment for October engagement.

In all three, i was willing to walk away.

Simplifying as much as possible is a great theory

FedEx Kinkos online account application — Can i cut a 30-minute drive to a 10-minute drive? My FedEx is also a Kinkos.

As a small business owner, print material is one of my few physical assets; workbooks and tri-fold pamphlets.

Face to face contact always beats phone or digital contact, at least for me.

As 2016 unfolds, my printing needs will increase; probably dramatically.

Something is telling me to just do it…

Her fee, based on my publicly posted fees, is ridiculously low.

For others, her fee is perfect.

Bottomline, i should walk away, yet remain grateful for her inquiry.

What i see is the potential to “interview” her (for four days) as a future business partner. Her expertise is logistics and local connections.

This would blend nicely with what i have no desire to learn nor master.

PS. We have known each other since 1999 when i met her while she was Disney Institute’s Business Program’s open enrollment/reservations leader.

How many adults rode their bike to the gig?

School Spring Festival — Roughly 20 booths total.

The School’s Spring Festival last night was much better than expected. Rode a bicycle due to anticipated parking challenges. Scoped out the business vendors area to see if it feels worth it for next year.

It did.

Pondered these:

What makes a business booth stand out?
How do you not make people walking by feel nervous about getting spammed with an unwanted “pitch”?
What is the driving purpose and desired outcome from a booth?
Is the outcome a pipe dream or tangibly within reach?

The clock is ticking. Always.

A year from now will seem like yesterday.
