Label the stranger an egotistical jerk who should just worry about himself?

The woman in the jungle jeff post seemed to feel like she was thinking about things she normally doesn’t (and maybe hasn’t in forever) think about.

How do I know? This is what I do. Read the audience. Whether it’s a CEO during a site visit, or an audience of 500 or more.

It seemed uncomfortable for her. Early 40’s, hates her job, no compelling reason to be remarkable tomorrow or in any of the days, months, years ahead.

She has two choices. Be incredibly thankful a total stranger helped her think these thoughts, or label the stranger an egotistical jerk who should just worry about himself.

How being organized can make paying for something, well, art

Apple Store App Easy Pay
Easy pay is art, ridiculously remarkable

Apple is making being organized an art form. Yesterday’s visit to the Apple store revealed a new process available to iPhone 5s users. You can use fingerprints to unlock your phone so you never again have to tap four numbers.

They allow you to use fingerprint recognition to use the Apple Store App. It goes like this:

  • visit Apple Store
  • pick a product off the shelf
  • use Apple Store App to scan the barcode
  • pay using the App
  • walk out
  • no human interaction is required
  • self-service to a whole new (remarkable) level

Remarkable.

Art.

How much planning ahead is the right amount?

Hotel lobby tourist brochure rack
This is the tip of the iceberg for all the brochures on the tourist rack

Insight: The biggest part of making dreams comes true involves two things. Seeing the dream clearly. Figuring out how to make it happen. Profoundly simple. Simply profound. For example…

How much planning ahead is the right amount?

Did you catch the lowest right brochure ‘art is...’ because planning ahead can be art if we do it in a way that balances under doing it with over doing it – and infuses our highest priorities into everything we plan for.

The husband and wife of 56 years never expected a visitor from Florida.

Classic wow: under sell, over deliver, because only one person (yours truly) knew it was a remote possibility.

The dilemma of an unexpected rare attribute

dry erase board
Remarkable often doesn’t seem so for years

The dilemma of an unexpected rare attribute is that it’s so rare it annoys others. It shines a light in dark places we’d rather leave in darkness. But could this attribute become a unique asset (if it isn’t already).

What would be our logical and important next steps on that amazing day when we wake up realizing something special is in front of us?

Hint, it would be much easier to distract, medicate, or entertain ourselves with stuff than to examine and take action.

Note: What if you’ve been told you think too much and ask too many embarrassing questions? Could you finally accept that this is something rare and nothing to be ashamed of?
