Nice work for 15 years

Disney Keynote Speaker Jeff Noel
Halloween, 2014.

There was a time when my personal record for consecutive days writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts was two (2) days.

A week away from starting year 16.

Which means 15 years is the next milestone, a week away.

Let’s do the math from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2024:

  • 15 years x 365 = 5,475 consecutive days
  • 4 leap years since 2009 (2012, 2016, 2020, 2024)
  • 5,475 + 4 = 5,479 total consecutive days
  • 5,479 days x 5 daily blogs = 27,395 blog posts

Man in hat in stairwell
Always took the stairwell to and from DI HQ. This is the final exit trip. Next stop after this was Magic Kingdom Wardrobe, which was on my route home.

Post it note
When a ‘tagline’ or marketing idea popped into my head, i found whatever i could and wrote it down. Later, i simply added it into Apple Notes.

i apply the Disney Way to my life, even “after Disney”.

It’s been fun writing these blogs today while traveling home from our first Winter Glacier trip.

Belton Bridge is the Park employee’s jumping platform. A rite of passage for many.

The sun is magical when it appears during a cold and cloudy day.

With our back porch being my favorite place in the world, it dawned on me why…

A LinkedIn thread had me share this:

Disney and Delta over-focus on the same things others under-focus on or ignore. Fanatic attention to details.

Allison Ausband we recently flew Delta from Orlando thru LAX to Sydney. Your Customer Experience echoed similar praise you have for Disney. Thank you.

Personal insight to myself: Our home houses my first and second most favorite place on Earth. And it’s because of the attention to detail we employ to make our living space feel like a vacation escape, every day, all day.

The challenge with priorities is that we have few role models who do it well.
