Organize your gratitude into three themes:

  1. What you learned yesterday.
  2. What you get to do today.
  3. What you hope for tomorrow.

President Obama’s speech writers get this concept too.

It ain’t rocket surgery.

Just do it. And make it fun and sincere.

Expert Disney Leadership Speaker

(photo above: The boss came up with this pose. We complied. Who’s to argue?)
(dialogue below: note from a retirement party attendee)

Jeff,

So great to see you and your beautiful family!! You inspired me the day we met (1999) and you inspired me again at your retirement party. The weather was a perfect metaphor

Orlando's Best Keynote Speaker jeff noel

(photo: The one on the right inspired the notion of ‘early retirement’)

The weather was a perfect metaphor. It was stormy. Cloudy. Torrential rain. The opposite of the perfect party weather. Unusual for Central Florida.

Such is life.

Make the best of whatever comes our way.

And along the way, be incredibly organized so no matter what happens, you can deal with it in joy and gratitude.

We didn’t get to spend a fraction of the time we could have out on Disney’s Contemporary Resort observation decks, which provide the best views in the entire 40+ square mile complex.

But we were still in the Napa Room. 🙂

Yeah, the twin siblings of self destruction

waiting room floor

(photo: the front outside ‘patio’ where some of the gang hang out)

There’s no place like home. Is our home heaven or hell?

Who decides?

Trick question.

We know who decides.

How do we see far enough into the future to prepare for whatever life deals us?

When do we make time to see into the future?

When do we make decisions that are difficult but important?

Because this is so challenging, we wait.

Waiting and doing nothing are the twin siblings of self destruction.

Can you feel the stress and pressure?

Epcot monorail and Spaceship Earth

(photo: The walk from Epcot’s parking lot to Japan – for lunch -and back is great exercise)

So much stress and pressure in the world.

Can you feel it?

What if we didn’t exercise regularly? And what if we weren’t decently organized? Or what if we were influenced by too many negative thoughts and people? What if our spirit felt lacking or empty. What if we didn’t like our job.

So yeah, the pressure and stress?

Palpable.
