Caring determination

motivational doors
Last night was full of inspiration and intentionality.

Without all the photos i took last night, it would be difficult to remember all the things that really inspired me and the others touring the facility.

Was reflecting on my first camera as a seven-year-old boy. The local gas station gave away a plastic camera (that required 35mm film) for a full-tank fillup.

Been a shutter-bug ever since.

Wisdom Day began March 6, 2017.

That was yesterday. Last night to be exact.

Made sure to create a calendar event entitled “Wisdom Day for Chapin”.

Last night’s conversation was significant. Chapin was on point, articulate, and grounded.

He also surprised me by saying, “The photos and written descriptions don’t align with who you are.”

Everything he said made sense and was spot on.

i told him to remember this day.

This is the day your wisdom begins for you.

PS. i posted all those photos (above) on facebook yesterday. That alone was not bad, what was misaligned was my motivation for posting them. It leaned to the side of sarcastic humor.

i removed all the photos and updates.

It was the right thing to do, even if Chapin was the only one who probably noticed.

Nevertheless, Disney Magic happened anyway

Mickey Mouse Tie and Statue
Couple days ago on a trip.

The odds of bumping into a (legal) Mickey Mouse statue on a college campus were slim to zero.

Odds of it happening outside of California or Florida, and wearing a Mickey Mouse tie?

Definite zero.

Nevertheless, Magic happened anyway.

Another one of the most important questions i asked myself

Disney balloons going backstage
Our view sitting at a table on Center Street. Disney separates Onstage from Backstage. Backstage is always clean, organized, and efficient.

Will you feel proud and joyful – and find solace – if your children mirror the type of home organization you demonstrate?

Thanks again Walt Disney for never quitting

One Man's Dream photo
After applying my Mickey Mouse sticker to the Walt Disney tribute mural, i walked around a bit. Reminisced about my first role at Disney, “Jungle Jeff”.

One Man's Dream photo
Pressed for time, i decided to watch the movie anyway. Rather than exit the theater normally, the Disney Host invited us to exit (reenter) back into One Man’s Dream.

One Man's Dream photo
Notice “Project X”? The initial “top secret” name.

One Man's Dream photo
Notice the name change to The Florida Project?

Filming two segments: one for the general public and one for the Florida Governor (Hayden Burns).

Thirty minutes after the first sticker, there are two dozen more.

Disney culture experts
Hours later, this was in my Twitter feed.

i honestly thought there was simply going to be some type of inspiring presentation about Walt Disney. You know, something you passively observed and enjoyed at your leisure.

The hoopla over me being the first one was a “Magic Moment”.

Never expected it.

One Man’s Dream was literally a ghost town for the first 20 minutes.

This unencumbered time allowed several one-on-one conversations with four Cast Members.
