My Dog Is A Genius

My Dog is a genius.  Every time that I’m home at 5:00Pm, usually on weekends, my Dog comes and nudges me at 5:00Pm.

Not 4:30PM, or 4:55Pm, but at 5:00PM.

Carter did it again yesterday.

It made me smile.  I like smiling.  Carter understands this and is a genius at knowing how to do it.

You’re Not Gonna Believe This

This morning, we turned off the air conditioners for the first time since April! Seriously.

Central Florida daytime temps are expected to be in the 70’s this weekend.  It’s 66 right now at 5AM, so the windows and doors are only cracked open, otherwise it would be too cold.  🙂

How cool is that?  Well, for Central Floridians, it’s HUGE!

We endure the Summers to get to this point in the year.  It will last until April next year.  What’s it like October to April in Central Florida?  Glorious.

Everything’s Amazing, Nobody’s Happy

Everything is amazing, but no one’s happy.  This came through on my Facebook yesterday.

It’s a guy talking to Conan O’Brien about how amazing things are today, but yet nobody’s happy.

It’s refreshingly funny, because of the obvious insight.

Childhood Diseases Stink

Childhood diseases stick.  Adult diseases stink.  And there are so many of both.

What is a caring person to do?  We all know, “You can’t do it all”. So perhaps the best approach is simply to become an advocate and supporter of the disease that hits closest to home.

Last night my son (9) and I had dinner at Epcot, at The Walt Disney World Resort.  We were celebrating “Wednesday”.  Since our Catechism class was cancelled, it was a free night, and we spontaneously chose Epcot.  We live very close by.

During the long walk to our car and then on the short drive home, my son couldn’t hold his need to go to the bathroom. He begged me to pull over even though we were four minutes from home. So I did.

There’s really no way to adequately describe what happened.

And last night, after finally arriving home, a faithful follower of these blogs wrote a note that couldn’t have been more timely.  While I usually keep my spiritual side reserved for jeffnoel.org, I’d just like to say thank you for your prayers.

All of us have some sort of Hell we are going through.  These jeff noel blogs (5 total)  are the seeds of “therapy” for us to learn to help each other – more often.
