How do i test the hypothesis?

Disney writer Jeff Noel in the mountains
Randomly found this 2017 photo of me blogging at Granite Park Chalet.

Being happy with what you have is a great place to be in life.

Pursuing what you want is the American Dream.

Can being happy with what you have prevent you from pursuing what you want?

For example…

i’m happy with spending two hours daily writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

As the years continue to pass, especially these years in my 60’s, the thought of having two hours of discretionary time — every day — invested in something different might be a wonderful, and healthy, adventure.

The only way to know is to experiment with the idea.

How do i test the hypothesis?

Does it even matter?

What if i’m wrong?

What if i’m right?

What if i wait too long to try?

What if i start now?

Bonus thoughts:

Never let your memories be bigger than your dreams.

How much is enough?

Be content with what you have and be at peace with who you are.

Luck favors the bold. Luck favors the prepared.

Banking on every blog

hand written note
One of the final photos from (2023) last Summer’s first-month Glacier visit. Planned to return in one week to continue a planned three-month Glacier season.

Banking on every blog i’ve written (all 30,000+) to help me make the wisest choice.

And at the same time, what seems like an arduous answer to find may be the simplest answer to find.

Time will tell.

i’m enjoying and savoring this opportunity to decide.

Also giddy at how ‘easy’ the solution is gonna be.

Can’t wait to discover it.

Bottomline?

Dare to be who you want to be. And know your growth, and motivation, is a moving target.

dad

Bottomline, your motivation needs to be greater than your goal.

If your goal is greater than your motivation, you’ll never finish.

If your motivation is greater than your goal, you will not stop until you achieve your goal.

Bottomline?

Totally!

Change, change, change

Remember, your life has been impacted by change. Start harnessing change’s positive power.

dad

The more things change, the more things stay the same.

The only constant is change.

The question now

Try not to be more dramatic than necessary to make your point.

dad

The question now, “What do you want to do with your remaining days?”

Easy answer, after four days seriously thinking about a 16th year.

The easy answer?

Wait for it.

Drum roll………

You ready?

It’s simple.

A blinding flash of the obvious.

And i know you respect what i’m about to say.

The question now…

Why in God’s name would you stop?
