Find it challenging to get motivated?

Or maybe getting motivated isn’t the challenge for you, is it the staying motivated part that challenges you?

And then there are always people who can get and stay motivated, but not for the long haul. And by the way, the long way is the shortcut.

You must be able to kick your own butt.

If you don’t have the guts, passion, determination, or any other ingredient you need, to kick your own butt, your big dreams will remain elusive.

These five daily blogs are the foundation of a community, of a movement. And as this “community” grows, we will all find creative ways to increasingly be here for each other. You good with that?

Who Motivates You To Change?

World Class? Prove It!
World Class? Prove It!

Change is the only constant.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Mostly, we hate change. But yet we are surrounded by it. At work. At home. On the news. In our face. Everywhere.

And deep down inside, we know that change has many positive benefits, and with hard work, we CAN change.

But who pushes you?

Who gets in your face and reminds you you can’t quit?

Is it you?  Do you coach yourself?

And if you are self-coached, where did you learn it, from a book, a seminar, a show?  Let’s be real.

Your biggest and best change came when someone believed you could do what you didn’t believe you could do. The “coach” got in your face and pushed you, and rode you, and drove you to excellence.

Who’s coaching you now?

Or don’t you care anymore?

Prove it.

Sick (not the good sick)

Last week at my weekly Apple One-To-One session, I forgot my mighty mouse. Called and emailed the Apple Store. Even went back the next day to double-double check. While Brooke was checking if it had been turned in to lost and found, I grabbed a new Apple Mouse from the rack, a much cooler (sick) version than the one from last year, just in case. Was almost hoping that no one turned it in so I would be “forced” to buy the sick mouse.

“Good news”, Brooke said no one had turned in the lost mouse. “Bad news”, her friend Erika had an extra, which was graciously offered to me at no charge. WOW!

The Apple Store at Millenia Mall continues to exceed expectations on all accounts. I left without that “sick” mouse, but with something better. A sense that excellent customer service is alive and well. But I’m not sure we can say the same thing for this young boy:

Nearly Every Day

Time Flies (Carter's Been Gone 3.5 months)
Time Flies (Carter's Been Gone 3.5 months)

Do you ever feel like a broken record? Saying the same thing over and over again?

Good.  This means you’re on to something. And the more you explain it, the better you get at explaining it, and the more people you reach and the more intriguing your crazy dream becomes – not only for others, but also for yourself.

Yet knowing this is not enough. Why? Because most people are weak, overwhelmed, distracted, medicated, afraid, insecure. How do I know? Because I’m one of you.

After 14 months, I can count on one hand the number of people who’ve said, “Jeff, writing five differently themed blogs every single day is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of”.
