Good, home

Disney Customer Service Keynote Speaker
Make your word as good as your handshake.

Is ‘good’ all it’s cracked up to be?

Yes.

Why?

What if ‘bad’ was humanity’s standard?

Laws, home

Lab and Mom
The law of attraction is always in play

What are the laws of life that are time-tested, yet have no legal consequence?

The law of attraction.

Love.

Pets.

Art.

Vibrancy.

Blinding flashes of the obvious have been hidden from most because most are followers.

Leaders need followers.

So do snake-oil salespeople.

It’s a self-fulfilling ecosystem.

Then there’s you.

What do you believe?

Norms, home

Glacier Boat Company boats
Glacier National Park. (GNP). The Joy II, on St Mary Lake in GNP, seats about as many Guests as Disney’s World-Famous Jungle Cruise boats hold. Ps. All of this is normal for me. And i love all of it.

Classic question for all ages, what is normal?

Normal is whatever the hell you want it to be.

Note: Normal should feed vibrancy. Hard stop. Who the heck wants anything less than vibrancy?

Stereotypes, home

Jeff Noel's Colorful business card from 2009
Stereotypical midlife crisis? No, the opposite. Have spent my life trying to build (brand) positive stereotypes grounded in: Having fun. Leaning into discomfort. .thinking .differently

What are stereotypes? Why do they exist? How are they helpful? How are they harmful?

My brand (my positive stereotypes)?

  1. Have fun
  2. Lean into discomfort
  3. .think .differently

My brand (my negative stereotypes)?

  1. Expensive
  2. Impossible for almost everyone
  3. Doesn’t understand the hell everyone is going through

Stereotypes are true and untrue beliefs about something or someone.

Stereotypes exist because they help society filter repetitive patterns efficiently.

Stereotypes positively offer effortless reflexive responses and choices in daily life.

Stereotypes negatively offer untrue, harmful, indecent, and unwanted judgement on things and people.

Dogma, home

Disney Traditions Workbook
Disney Traditions workbook at Disney University Lobby.

What is dogma’s greatest benefit to humanity?

Cultural blueprints.

Paradoxically, dogma predictably gives most of humanity permission to not change.

Not changing is dangerous.

Modern civilization has steadily improved nearly everything about living more effectively and efficiently.

Perhaps the greatest dogma is the tradition that rule breakers are on earth to make things better.

Dogma is a double-edged sword.

Be careful…

And have fun.
