The pain of being a sole proprietor. Everything is on you.
You get to make every decision. All success is from you. All failure is from you.
Weird how an 11-year old (expired) item remains in your products folder.
Exciting to get such a quick “confirmation” for resolution.
Update: Resolution never happened. Not yet. i love GoDaddy and trust they will come through — like they always do.
When you change your priorities for the better, you might think your change seems inspiring to others. Instead, it probably makes them uncomfortable because they are confronted with their own priorities.

Winter happens every year. It’s never a surprise. We always know it’s coming. The closer you are to the Equator, the more blurred the seasonal lines become. Let’s think about how we traditionally spend our winters…
Ever think of yourself as the CEO of You, Inc?
If yes, why?
If no, why?
Let’s assume a few things:
Only one person is in charge of your life
Who do most people think is in charge of their life
Who do you think is in charge of your life
Everything in your life is your fault
Everything in your life is your success
We become what we think about.
Intentionally or unintentionally.
Can you imagine the difference between the two approaches?

Randomly found this 2017 photo of me blogging at Granite Park Chalet.
Being happy with what you have is a great place to be in life.
Pursuing what you want is the American Dream.
Can being happy with what you have prevent you from pursuing what you want?
For example…
i’m happy with spending two hours daily writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.
As the years continue to pass, especially these years in my 60’s, the thought of having two hours of discretionary time — every day — invested in something different might be a wonderful, and healthy, adventure.
The only way to know is to experiment with the idea.
How do i test the hypothesis?
Does it even matter?
What if i’m wrong?
What if i’m right?
What if i wait too long to try?
What if i start now?
Bonus thoughts:
Never let your memories be bigger than your dreams.
How much is enough?
Be content with what you have and be at peace with who you are.
Luck favors the bold. Luck favors the prepared.

We spent hours here. And because of that, the shadow the clouds had cast on the entire lake and mountain side vanished to reveal an unexpected blue sky and stunning sunlight.
You change your world one day at a time. There is no other way.

Improvement:
Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) is “Disney’s Six Sigma for Beginners”. You can’t improve what you don’t measure. Need diverse team of CIP Advocates to influence growth in their departments.

Got shut out at last year’s lottery. Yet somehow managed two multi-day reservations. A three-day in July i enjoyed before family arrived for annual trip. A four-night, season-closing res that we had to cancel due to eye surgery.
A healthy sense of urgency is the harvest for being fully present in the moment(s).

Out of office alert at home…
Cultural attention to details.
Who owns it, maintains it, improves it?
Like, who’s personally graded for consistently excellent results?
It’s important to remember and easy to forget that the road to excellence has no finish line.
This exercise was for a tiny Galen detail that hundreds of people do hundreds of different ways.
And from the exercise, now hundred’s are doing it one way — The Galen Way.
Can you start to imaging the magnification and opportunity to creatively have fun addressing anything and everything that you do day in and day out — for your entire career.
The goal is always to have more employees, doing better things, more often.
Launch, learn, revise. Repeat.
It’s only impossible until you do it the first time.
Everything that is currently done the way it is done was once ‘never done that way’.
Organizational Creativity is the DNA of world-class organizations.
Nursing Education never turns down anyone with world class dreams.
Final note: OOO voice messages and OOO text messages need standards and expectations too.
