Less is more

Disney Speakers office
Organized to maximize. This book case has become increasingly more crowded with stuff as the months tick by.

Is less more?

Why?

And why do most of us have more than we know what to do with?

Letting go can be painful, but it shouldn’t be

CD collection
Compact discs. Long ago taken out of their hard plastic cases and placed in individual sleeves, and the small “album booklet” recycled.

CD collection
CDs – photo for context only.

All those CDs.

Over 2,000 of them.

Will be gone tomorrow.

Donated.

Reducing.

Lean.

Freedom.

Thank you Apple Music.

And the fact that CDs are going the way of the cassette tape, and vinyl albums – perhaps this is overdue.

It’s senseless

It’s senseless to believe that certain wishes we have for the future will happen.

The organizational trifecta isn’t worth it

Allegiant flight receipt
Booked the Summer Glacier trip and the Summer fraternity reunion trip yesterday.

Lots going on in people’s lives.

Most of us are overwhelmed with all the demands and unexpected things that pop up when we least expect.

Has there ever been a more compelling reason to do whatever it takes to get really organized – with our stuff, our priorities, and our time?

Untouchable value

Disney Store sale sign

(photo: Most merchants understand that humans find a great sale irresistible. The whole “buy more stuff, more often” goal of every marketer.)

Untouchable value. That’s what being lean, having minimal possessions, and being decently organized means – untouchable value

Living like you mean it is a verb.
