Rare to be at a South Pacific beach. If we didn’t know where we are, we’d never guess our location.

Australia has confirmed my love for our home, Glacier, Disney, and Sanibel.

dad

Ps. Sanibel may be moving off my list of favorite places on Earth.

As an historic favorite, totally stays on the list.

As a current favorite, not any more.

Our favorite Sanibel place got destroyed by Hurricane Ian, September 28, 2022.

There’s no other place on Sanibel that will substitute.

Why?

It would be like moving to a different house in Orlando and still calling our new back porch and new front porch my two favorite places on Earth.

Our current home has been hand-crafted with Mother Nature over three decades.

Mitchell’s Sand Castles has ‘been in our Family’ since 1989.

Now that it’s gone, finding another place to be ‘our place on Sanibel’ would be like moving to a new home in Orlando.

Both would undoubtedly be nice, and comfortable. but neither new home nor place would have the ‘it-factor’.

Australia’s Sunshine Coast in the Summer reminds me that doing anything in the Summer heat is a turnoff.

Lay down your old life so that you may save yourself and gain new life.

When the airplane oxygen mask falls, you take care of yourself first.

Why?

So you can take care of others.

Teach others how to excel. In teaching you learn twice.

Probably a good idea to reserve your helpfulness for two groups:

  1. Those who ask.
  2. Those who’ll pay.
