On the phone for 45 minutes with Apple Care once i got to the gym yesterday.
The Apple product specialist was nice but ultimately proposed me waiting until i biked home, plugged my iPhone X into the Mac and restored the factory settings from an iTunes backup.
i politely asked for a senior advisor.
Lateasha had me press the right side button (there is no home button on the X) three times, uncheck VoiceOver, and wal-la, done.

Peace of mind, ease of use. Great combo.
Not having garage door openers in our vehicles also feels better.
Most growth is small, daily, and incremental.
