Catch vs coach

i “caught” them without a unifying goal. Then i coached them until their common purpose became obvious.

You have to become your own catcher.

You must also be your own coach.

Sometimes they look the same – catcher and coacher.

And often, someone else serves as your best coach or catcher.

Make your life come to life by treating your life-story as art.

Speaking of art, here’s a bonus. A song i recently stumbled upon. Barren, simple, emotional. Art.

Organized for calculated risk taking?

Pretty sure that’s not only a yes, but a heck yes.

How cool is that?

Very.

Like life-changing cool.

If Disney Ran Your Life podcast update

If Disney Ran Your Life podcast with jeff noel
If Disney Ran Your Life is my new Podcast coming in 2019.

If Disney Ran Your Life podcast update.

Moments ago i listened to Episode 14 from Season One. It’s the final episode of what we’ve called “Cast Previews”.

After listening to the first two episodes, i knew immeadiately that we would delay any promotion of it.

Why?

i needed practice.

These 14 episodes are nick-named “The Basement Tapes” because i feel like Jody Maberry (the Host) and i are in our parent’s basement, trying to start a band, finding our sound, having fun, and getting enough confidence to start playing “free gigs”.

PS. Last week the first two episodes of Season Two (called Soft Opening) came back from the editor. Exciting. We recorded eight episodes in a marathon recording day at Walt Disney World.

Until you have your own list, study a lot of lists

Wrote this on an airplane napkin while watching Moneyball in 2012.

Good list from a 2012 flight home from France.

Number three caught my eye. There’s a time and a place for everything. Staying late is when your learning curve is blasting off.

Once you’ve reached a certain level, you’ll need to figure out how much of your life you want to sacrifice to keep moving forward.

Turning 60 in a couple months, i can tell you that staying late no longer works for me. The other 11 are still massively important to me.
