Relief is on the way.

Burning the midnight oil is a right of passage.

It sometimes becomes a lifetime habit.

Be careful.

Tour bus cover page
Tomorrow morning we walk 300 meters down the hill to the pick-up location for our Red Bus Tour.

Over time, a first full day tradition has developed when first-timers visit Glacier with me/us.

The Crown of the Continent, world-famous Red Bus Tour.

Tomorrow’s photos & videos will capture why.

Be intentional, focused, disciplined, and, flexible.

The key to flexibility is having ample margin on your calendar.

When something doesn’t go as planned, plenty of white space on your calendar can be used to figure things out that you didn’t see coming.

15-second video: Today’s HQ.
Mountains
No matter how you slice it, there are no ’bad’ views.
Disney figurines on the table
This ’surprise’ never gets old.

It takes an incredible focus and discipline in Glacier to be a prolific blogger.

So far, with incredibly limited wifi, have been able to meet the goal of putting everything into WordPress while visiting and working in GNP.

The motivation?

To free up the first two weeks back home from ‘all day’ catch up migrating 22 days worth of 5-a-day blogs from iPhone Notes App to WordPress.

It is tedious and time consuming.

It is also a joy and a privilege.

Note: Overwhelmingly intrigued by the prospect of being free from ‘catch-up’ work – and the weight you carry until it’s done.

GNP Day 12, HQ

9-second video: The Goat closest snuck up behind me. Had i not heard a faint stone-rustling sound, the Goat may have sniffed my shirt (they love the salt from human sweat).
Six hours door to door. Four hours on top.

Organized to have Bear Spray on every hike.

Organized to practice spraying it the last day of every Summer. Cannisters spray for about eight seconds. They say it’s 50 times stronger than Mace Pepper Spray.

Thought for a few moments it would be necessary to shoot a half-second spray bewteen me and the larger Goat.

Knowing what a half-second of spray looks like is a huge advantage in projecting confidence (read, no fear) to the animal.

My (humans) lack of fear casts doubt (and probably a healthy fear) about the Goat’s wilderness advantage.
