He’s never seen a checking account like this

Wells Fargo deposit slip — Deposited cash to cover a $130 check. This was yesterday, Dec 5.

Our son has never seen us with $43 in our checking account.

But he’s seen our balance when there’s a steady income.

He likes steady better.

The life of an entrepreneur is risky.

Risk and reward fundamentally mirror each other.

The greater the risk, the greater the reward.

Burning the ships isn’t easy.

Living off of your last contract eventually reaches the point where the money runs out.

Paradoxically, as i write this, two contracts are waiting to be signed that will more than take care of a whole year.

His insight belies his age

Teen trying to look serious — A moment later, his attempt at looking serious was destroyed by his huge smirk and then laughter.

The Freshman is not interested in the new Entrepreneurial Studies class being offered at his High School.

Why?

He said, and i paraphrase: “Being an entrepreneur is too much work and with almost zero percent chance of success.”

Wow, he’s actually paying attention to what i tell him.

Do you love being challenged?

The first thought was, “Is this an approved or unapproved use of three circles?”

Do you love being challenged?

There is an insidious fear of the unknown that we wear like skin.

Can we organize our courage in such a way that even when faced with the unknown, we can confidently experiment with creative ways to push through the darkness?

What if we did?

Because if we can’t, it’s a blind spot with serious repercussions.

Yes, no, and maybe.

It will always be the HQ for Life’s Five Big Choices.

i will always be a Disney Way keynote speaker.

Maybe there is room for both.

The funny thing about being brave is that there is no template. Read into that any way you want. Big picture, you can do anything and you can do it anyway you want.

The downside is you ~~might~~, um, ~~will probably~~, um, might fail. (i did, repeatedly)

The upside is you might succeed – but only if you want to succeed as much as you want your next breath. (i am, finally)
